At Masculino, we respect your privacy. In this privacy policy, we explain which personal data we collect when you visit masculino.eu or shop with us, why we do this, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Dutch privacy law.
1. Who we are
Masculino is responsible (the “controller”) for the processing of your personal data as described in this policy.
2. Which personal data we process
Depending on how you use our website and services, we may process the following data:
- Contact and identity data: first and last name, email address, phone number.
- Delivery and billing data: shipping address, billing address, company name (if applicable).
- Order data: products ordered, order number, order date, payment status, returns and warranty claims.
- Payment data: payment method and transaction details. We do not store your full card or bank details; payments are handled by our payment provider.
- Account data: username and password, if you create an account.
- Communication data: the content of emails, WhatsApp messages or contact forms you send us.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and how you interact with our website and advertisements, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data, such as data about health, religion or ethnicity.

4. Cookies, Meta Pixel and advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Functional cookies are necessary for the website to work, for example to keep products in your shopping cart. We only place analytical and marketing cookies after you have given your consent via our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via [link to cookie settings].
Meta Pixel and Conversions API. With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.). These tools help us measure which advertisements on Facebook and Instagram lead to visits and purchases, and show relevant advertisements to people who have visited our website. For this purpose, information about your visit and purchase (such as the pages you viewed, products added to your cart and order value) may be shared with Meta, sometimes together with your email address or phone number in hashed (encrypted) form. Meta and Masculino are jointly responsible for this data collection. More information about how Meta processes your data can be found in Meta’s Privacy Policy.

5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We only share your data with third parties when this is necessary for the purposes described above, such as:
- Payment provider: [e.g. Mollie / Stripe / PayPal], to process your payment.

- Website and webshop hosting: to run our website.
- Email and newsletter service: [e.g. Mailchimp / Klaviyo], to send order confirmations and newsletters.

- Accountant and tax authorities: where required for our financial administration or by law.
Parties that process data on our behalf do so under a data processing agreement and only according to our instructions.
6. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some of our service providers, such as Meta, may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), for example in the United States. In that case, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep your data
We do not keep your personal data longer than necessary:
- Order and billing data: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law.
- Customer account: until you delete your account, or after [2] years of inactivity.
- Customer service messages: up to [2] years after your last contact, unless they relate to an ongoing warranty claim.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Cookie data: according to the retention periods stated in our cookie settings.
8. How we protect your data
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Our website uses a secure connection (SSL/HTTPS), access to personal data is limited to those who need it, and we only work with reliable service providers.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: you can ask which personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: you can ask us to correct incorrect data.
- Right to erasure: you can ask us to delete your data, unless we are legally required to keep it.
- Right to restriction: you can ask us to temporarily limit the use of your data.
- Right to data portability: you can ask us to provide your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object: you can object to processing based on our legitimate interest, including direct marketing.
- Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.

10. Children
Our website and products are not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe we have done so, please contact us and we will delete the data.
11. Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal data, please contact us first; we are happy to find a solution together. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl, or with the supervisory authority in your own EU country.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example when we start using new tools or when the law changes. The most recent version is always available on this page. For significant changes, we will inform you where appropriate.
